The Original Ventique Tornado Flush Mount Metal Floor Vent is a floor-integrated air distribution component engineered to be compatible with modern and traditional flooring systems. The design combines a flush-mount frame with a patterned metal grille, allowing airflow circulation while maintaining alignment with the surrounding floor surface.

Flush Mount Construction and Floor Alignment

A ½-inch-thick frame supports installation at the same level as the floor surface. This provides a continuous and uninterrupted flooring plane. The flush-mount configuration reduces elevation differences and ensures that the vent integrates with materials such as hardwood, tile, laminate, luxury vinyl plank, and carpet.

Frame and grille operate as a two-part system. This allows placement around the duct opening, followed by insertion of the grille. The sustainable construction supports accurate alignment and compatibility with standard duct dimensions.

Material Composition and Structural Durability

The Tornado Flush Mount Metal Floor vent’s body is made of powder-coated aluminum. It endures corrosion, wear, and rough environmental conditions. The powder coat prevents the surfaces from rusting, bending, chipping, cracking, and peeling due to normal wear and tear.

Based on the structural testing results, the vent is ideal for use in high-traffic areas. 

Tornado Pattern and Airflow Distribution

The openings of the Tornado grill pattern are designed such that, when combined, they facilitate smooth and directed flow of air. It eases the flow of working air from the HVAC to the interior of the space.

The grill pattern also provides duct protection while evenly and optimally covering the duct. The evenly distributed openings also encourage balance in air flow creating even thermal comfort in the space.

Size and Finish Options

The Tornado vent comes in common duct sizes. They vary from 4"×10", 4"×12", and 4"×14" respectively. The paints are options include both powder coat and anodic in Arctic White, Midnight Black, Desert Sand, Burnt Leaf, Mountain Fog, Safari Dust, Brushed Platinum, and Smokey Shale.

This variation allows the grill to match the flooring material and color, as well as the space's interior aesthetics.

Installation Requirements

To install, the frame is put around the duct opening and nailed in place onto the subfloor. Flooring is placed around the frame, and a finished edge is installed. Finally, the grille insert is put into the frame.

The design allows for a seamless integration during both new construction and retrofitting projects, as long as the duct openings are sized correctly.

Maintenance and Long-Term Use

The only maintenance required is to wipe down or vacuum the components. Thanks to the powder coat, corrosion and surface scratches are less severe and no major maintenance is required for long term use.

The design and materials used allow for a great service life, and as such the vent can be used in high traffic areas for as long as needed.
